ATHENA Awards 2010
On March 24, 2010 the City of Indian Wells will present the prestigious sixth annual Indian Wells ATHENA Award to two individuals in our community. This award is presented to one who has attained and embodies the highest level of professional excellence in her/his business or profession, has devoted time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and actively assists women in realizing their leadership potential.
THE ATHENA Award was first presented in 1982 and is administered by ATHENA International, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. ATHENA is an international non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, developing and honoring women leaders, inspiring women to achieve their full potential – creating balance in leadership worldwide.
The two ATHENA Recipients will be selected from nominations and we need your help in identifying potential Recipients. ATHENA Nomination forms are available at City Hall or you can download and print the nomination form by clicking on this link. Applications are being accepted starting June 1, 2009 Completed forms should be mailed to City Hall to the attention of Debbie Allen. Deadline for application submission is closed.
Through this program, we hope to build awareness of and honor the valuable contributions being made by women and men in our business and professional community. We are looking forward to a successful celebration in 2010 and we welcome your participation.
